Bridgeborn names Murphy Executive Vice President, Federal Sector
Murphy to manage existing Federal contracts, lead expansion in new markets and implement strategic plan for Bridgeborn Federal Sector
Virginia Beach, VA – January 2, 2008 - Bridgeborn, a leading systems design, engineering and integration company, today announced that Katharine Murphy joined Bridgeborn as Executive Vice President, Federal Sector effective October 9th, 2007. Murphy, formerly a Senior Manager at General Dynamics, will report to President and CEO Tim Ambrosino. In this role, Murphy will be responsible for expanding Bridgeborn’s Federal business as well as managing Bridgeborn’s current programs with DHS, JFCOM, USAID, NASA and the US ARMY.

Murphy brings 20+ years of experience in Federal contracting across a broad range of customers including Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, DARPA as well as state and local government. Katharine’s management experience includes leading business groups focused on delivering end-to-end solutions that span the entire software lifecycle from leading edge Research and Development to operational implementation and support. Additionally, her senior leadership experience includes strategy development, responsibility for overall profit and loss for major programs as well as business development and personnel management.
