ADAPTIVE COMBATIVES SYSTEM

To meet Special Forces’ and Law Enforcement’s current and future training requirements, Bridgeborn offers ACS: the first real-world, high-threat, operator simple combatives system. Our team of expert instructors have handpicked and tested techniques from top, contemporary martial arts including:

  • Muay Thai
  • Krav Maga
  • Boxing
  • Judo
  • Mixed Martial Arts
  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
  • Kali
Every technique that Bridgeborn teaches has been tested with a full military kit and proven in the field by our instructors. ACS combines the structural benefits of a hand-to-hand combat system with the creative benefits of combatives evolution. This ensures that the individuals and teams receiving ACS training are doing so in concert with their mission and objectives.

Bridgeborn’s methodology is to create a complete hand-to-hand system that covers low threat to high threat/worst case scenarios. Our team uses simple and effective techniques to train in real-world scenarios that are relevant in today’s Special Operations and Law Enforcement environment. Our training packages and Train-the-Trainer courses use techniques that are:

  • Simple and easily learned; training takes days or weeks
  • Proven and effective; able to be used in the real world
  • Quickly and easily adaptable; change as new capabilities emerge
  • Successfully performed in full body armor kits, casual clothing and/or hidden concealments
Real-world scenarios and capabilities taught in ACS include:

  • Handling combative and non-combative prisoners
  • Threat Identification/Use of Force Recognition
  • Approaching and handling aggressive/non-aggressive contacts
  • Disarming high threat attackers (knives, bats, pistols, rifles)
  • Escaping and countering high threat situations
  • Weapons retention and transition
